Based on information from the Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA), the U.S. Embassy Muscat advises U.S. citizens that Cyclone Kyarr is approximately 490 kms away from Ras Madarakah in Duqm. There has been landfall in Sur, Ras al Hadd, and Sharqiya South. Currently, cyclone Kyaar is a CAT-2 typhoon, and it is expected to weaken to CAT-1 strength in the next 24 hours.
