2017 SelectUSA Investment Summit — Call for Applications

The 2017 SelectUSA Summit will take place June 18-20, 2017, at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center at National Harbor, in the Washington, D.C. area. Participants are expected to pay for all costs. The two-and-a-half day program will include plenary and breakout sessions featuring global-CEOs and U.S. government speakers, prescheduled one-on-one matchmaking meetings between potential investors and U.S. economic development organizations (EDOs), an exhibition hall with representation from EDOs across the U.S., an ‘Investment Academy’ featuring more in-depth technical sessions for first-time investors and EDOs, and the SelectUSA pavilion. Inside the exhibition hall there will be a SelectUSA Pavilion where investors can meet directly with representatives of U.S. federal agencies to learn about policies, regulations, and resources relevant to their specific investment plans. Also, this year, for the first time, SelectUSA will have a regional event in Dubai, dedicated to connecting GCC investors to U.S. state economic development leaders at the Annual Investment Meeting’s (AIM) U.S. Investment Pavilion. AIM 2017 will be held from March 31-April 4, 2017. As a SelectUSA investor delegate, you will receive special benefits such as a registration discount of USD $800, private meetings with U.S. officials, and connections to targeted AIM participants.

The 2016 SelectUSA Investment Summit attracted over 2,500 participants from 70 foreign markets and 52 U.S. states and territories, including proven international investors and potential investors, foreign government officials, U.S. companies, U.S. EDOs, state and local government officials, professional service providers, business associations, subject-matter experts, and U.S. government officials. Twenty-two U.S. Ambassadors and Chiefs of Mission led host-country delegations of investors to the event, where former President Obama and eight of his cabinet members delivered remarks.
