Yesterday the United States welcomed the peaceful transition of power from President Donald J. Trump to President Joseph R. Biden. As President Biden said in his inaugural address, “America has been tested, and we’ve come out stronger for it. We will repair our alliances and engage with the world once again. Not to meet yesterday’s challenges, but today’s and tomorrow’s challenges. We will lead not merely by the example of our power but by the power of our example. We will be a strong and trusted partner for peace, progress, and security.”
We at the U.S. Embassy in Oman will carry that sense of commitment and optimism forward, as we work to further strengthen the bonds of friendship and cooperation between our two countries.
