The U.S. Embassy is pleased to announce a change in the visa validity and fees for Omani U.S. visa applicants. Qualified Omani applicants for tourist or business visitor visas (B1, B2, and B1/B2) will be granted multiple-entry, 10-year U.S. visas. Qualified applicants for official U.S. visas (A and G) will be granted multiple-entry visas with five-year validity. The 6 OMR issuance fee for business visitor visas will no longer be charged.
U.S. Ambassador Marc J. Sievers formally announced the change during a press conference on June 26 with H.E. Dr. Mohamed al Hassan, Permanent Representative of Oman to the UN. Both noted the positive impact longer visa validities for both Omanis and Americans will have on business and tourism.
“Ten years is the longest visa validity we offer around the world,” Ambassador Sievers remarked. “This is another example of the strong friendship between the United States of America and the Sultanate of Oman.”
Travelers are encouraged to apply for the longer validity visas well before their date of travel. Previously issued 2-year validity visas will remain valid until the expiration date as printed.
