Are you interested in studying in the United States? Come speak with representatives from the U.S. Embassy and U.S. colleges and universities during EduTraC Oman. The annual higher education, training, and career expo is taking place October 29-31 from 10:00 to 13:00 and 16:00 to 20:00 at the Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre.

The U.S. Embassy is pleased to continue its tradition of supporting EduTraC Oman this year and welcomes the almost dozen U.S. schools to the exhibition. Representatives from these colleges and universities look forward to speaking with Omani students about opportunities at their schools and the admissions process.

The United States is an increasingly popular study destination for Omani students. There are currently more than 2,800 Omani students in the United States, according to the 2016 “Open Doors Report on International Educational Exchange,” produced every year by the Institute of International Education. Oman took the lead in generating the highest increase in the Middle East and North Africa, with 29.8 percent more Omani students selecting the United States for higher education during the 2015-2016 academic year, compared to the previous year.

With approximately 5,000 accredited academic institutions in the United States, prospective students can be assured there is at least one – and possibly many – that will meet their needs. Whether a student selects a large metropolitan university or a small rural college, whether their field of study is general or highly technical, international alumni of U.S. universities commend the quality of education they received and the ways in which living and studying in the United States transformed their lives.
