The United States welcomes foreign citizens who come to the United States to study. Before applying for a visa, all student visa applicants are required to be accepted and approved by their school or program. After an applicant is accepted, the educational institution will provide the applicant with the necessary approval documentation to be submitted when applying for a student visa.

EducationUSA at the U.S. Embassy in Muscat provides accurate, comprehensive, current and unbiased information on educational opportunities in the United States. The office is part of the EducationUSA network of approximately 450 advising centers worldwide affiliated with the U.S. Department of State, and follows EducationUSA ethical standards.

The EducationUSA advisor at the Embassy maintains an extensive collection of materials on U.S.- accredited educational opportunities for public use, and provides guidance on U.S. study options. Support is also available for U.S. graduates returning to Oman.

For more information, visit EducationUSA Muscat and contact the EducationUSA Advisor, at EdUSAOman@state.gov.
