Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program

The Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program awards grants to Omani scholars to visit the United States to lecture or conduct postdoctoral research for a period of three months to one academic year.  The program is administered by the Council for International Exchange of Scholars (CIES).

All expenses for the program, including airfare and accommodation, are funded by the U.S. Department of State.

To be eligible, applicants must have:

  • Nationality requirement: please contact the embassy for further information.
  • A doctoral degree or equivalent professional qualifications at the time of application.
  • A detailed statement describing the proposed research or lecture activity at a U.S. institution.
  • English language proficiency.
